Continuing India’s global diplomatic outreach against terrorism, an all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad arrived in London on Saturday. The visit is part of India’s wider initiative to engage with international partners and assert its zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

The delegation’s London visit follows stops in France, Italy, and Denmark, where members met with government officials, diaspora groups, and key stakeholders to discuss India’s security concerns and seek unified international action against terrorism.

Speaking upon arrival in the UK, Prasad emphasized the importance of the mission: “We are here in London to strongly articulate India’s position on terrorism. Just as we received strong support in France, Italy, and Denmark, we believe the UK will also stand with India in this global fight.”

Earlier in Copenhagen, Prasad encountered a group of Pakistani protesters who attempted to disrupt the delegation’s visit. He dismissed the protest, calling it “a sign of desperation” and urged Indians to “ignore them with impunity.” He added, “Pakistan is a desperate country that lives in desperation. Our outreach is receiving wide coverage, and that is why they are reacting.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, also part of the delegation, highlighted the unified political front India has presented in this mission. “I come from the same Shiv Sena that once dug up a pitch to stop a cricket match with Pakistan. Today, I stand united with leaders from all parties to show the world that Indians speak in one voice when it comes to fighting terrorism,” she said.

The delegation includes BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari and Samik Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, Congress MPs Ghulam Ali Khatana and Amar Singh, former Union Minister MJ Akbar, and Ambassador Pankaj Saran.

This joint effort is part of a seven-team global initiative by India, aimed at engaging world leaders, rallying international support, and amplifying India’s unwavering stand against cross-border terrorism.
